What Socratize is
Socratize is an AI role-play training platform for teams. Workspace admins create custom training cases; members practice them by exchanging messages with an AI character that simulates the counterparty. A silent coach scores each turn.
Accounts
- Accounts are intended for organizations. You must register with a work email; public mailbox providers are blocked.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and access tokens confidential.
- You must be authorized by your organization to create or join a workspace.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Socratize to harass, defame, or impersonate real people.
- Do not upload content that is illegal, infringing, or contains regulated personal data (e.g. health records, payment card data).
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, bot challenges, or workspace access controls.
- Do not use Socratize to generate content that violates Anthropic's usage policies for the underlying AI model.
AI-generated content
Training dialogue is generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude). Output is fictional and intended for skill practice only. It is not legal, medical, or financial advice. We do not guarantee accuracy, and you are responsible for how your team uses the output.
Subscriptions, billing & payment
Paid access is offered on a subscription basis (e.g. Starter, Professional, Enterprise) as described on our pricing and billing pages or in a signed order form. Unless stated otherwise in writing:
- Who may purchase: only authorised representatives of an organisation (typically an organisation admin). You confirm you have authority to bind your organisation.
- Billing cycles: monthly, quarterly, or annual prepayment as selected at checkout or agreed in an order form. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each term unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Free trials: if offered, a trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before conversion. Usage limits during a trial are shown in the product.
- Fees & taxes: prices are exclusive of VAT/sales tax unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for applicable taxes; we may collect them where required.
- Add-ons: additional seats, answer packs, or other add-ons are charged at the rates published at purchase time and may be prorated for the remainder of the current billing period where stated.
- Payment processing: we use Chargebee and its payment partners to collect fees. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method. We do not store full card numbers on Socratize servers.
- Failed payment: if a charge fails we may retry, notify organisation admins, and suspend or downgrade access after a reasonable grace period until payment is received.
- Price changes: we may change list prices for renewals; we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email to organisation admins before a price change applies to an existing subscription, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Cancellation
- You may cancel renewal through the billing portal (when available), by contacting [email protected], or as stated in your order form.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless we agree otherwise in writing. You retain access until that date.
- We may cancel or suspend access immediately for material breach, non-payment, or security risk.
Refunds
Socratize is a B2B service. Except where mandatory law requires otherwise or we agree in writing:
- Subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused seats, unused answer allowances, or after cancellation mid-term.
- Downgrades take effect at the next renewal; we do not credit unused portions of a higher tier mid-cycle unless expressly agreed.
- Answer-pack and similar add-on purchases that reset monthly do not roll over unless explicitly stated at purchase.
- If we terminate your access without cause (other than your breach), we will refund any prepaid unused portion of the current term on a pro-rata basis.
Billing disputes must be raised within 30 days of the invoice date to [email protected].
Service availability
Unless your organisation has a separate SLA (Enterprise), Socratize is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service outside an agreed SLA.
Termination
You may delete your account or cancel your organisation’s subscription as described above. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, fail to pay, or pose a security risk to other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends; export of your data should be requested before closure where possible.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Socratize is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
